Here’s How Your Fitness Studio Can Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Just 30 minutes of exercise 3–4 days a week lowers your risk of developing breast cancer by 30–50%*. Imagine a world where everyone had access to this very fact. That’s the core mission of the Keep A Breast Foundation’s annual fundraising campaign, Fit 4 Prevention.
Every October, studios everywhere participate in Fit 4 Prevention (F4P) by hosting donation-based workout classes to raise money for the Keep A Breast Foundation (KAB).
KAB is a nonprofit organization with a mission to reduce breast cancer risk and its impact globally through art, education, prevention, and action. They carry out this mission with life-saving initiatives like the Keep A Breast App, which encourages users to be proactive about checking themselves, and F4P, a movement that has had more than 2,000 studios, gyms, and fitness communities participate. Not only does F4P raise funds for KAB’s impactful programming, but it also directly lowers participants’ risk for breast cancer with fitness and wellness-based classes and events.
Mindbody is passionate about active lifestyles and Keep A Breast’s mission is close to our heart.
Will you join us and register your studio or fitness community to host a donation-based class for the F4P 2022 campaign this year?
Here are two ways your fitness studio can get involved:
Host a class at your studio or online
Whether you’re planning an in-person or virtual event, it’s easier than ever to bring your community together to get fit for a cause. You can sign up today to host a donation-based class during the month of October which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Upon registering, you’ll receive all the tools to promote your class to your audience, including access to a marketing toolkit full of downloadable materials to get your participants pumped for the class.
Bottom line: it’s quick to register, easy to host, and a click to donate.
Make a gift that's meaningful to you
If you can’t host a class, you can still make a difference by donating in any amount—and in any way—that's meaningful to you. KAB accepts one-time payments, monthly subscriptions, and even cryptocurrency as donations, giving you the ability to customize your tax-deductible contribution.
