Here’s How Your Fitness Studio Can Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Just 30 minutes of exercise 3–4 days a week lowers your risk of developing breast cancer by 30–50%*. Imagine a world where everyone had access to this very fact. That’s the core mission of the Keep A Breast Foundation’s annual fundraising campaign, Fit 4 Prevention.
Each year in October, studios everywhere participate in Fit 4 Prevention (F4P) by hosting donation-based workout classes to raise money for the Keep A Breast Foundation (KAB).
KAB is a nonprofit organization with a mission to reduce breast cancer risk and its impact globally through art, education, prevention, and action. They carry out this mission with life-saving initiatives like the Keep A Breast App and the KAB Give Back Grant Program.
Mindbody is passionate about active lifestyles and Keep A Breast’s mission is close to our heart.
Will you join us and register your studio or fitness community to host a donation-based class for the F4P 2021 campaign this year?
Here are two ways your fitness studio can get involved:
Host a class at your studio, outdoors, or virtually
Whether you’re planning a virtual event, indoors or outdoors, it’s easier than ever to bring your community together to get fit for a cause. You can sign up today to host a donation-based class during the month of October which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Upon registering, you’ll receive all the tools to promote your class to your audience, including access to a social media toolkit full of downloadable materials to help you take your efforts to the next level.
Bottom line: it’s quick to register, easy to host, and a click to donate.
Have questions on how to register? KAB has made it easy—check out their help page.
Make a gift that is meaningful to you
Keep A Breast’s goal is to raise $100,000 for breast cancer prevention during the Fit 4 Prevention 2021 campaign. Even if you can’t host a class, you can still make a difference by making a gift in any amount that is meaningful to you. To put your special spin on it, ask your friends and family to join you in making a gift. You can donate directly to the 2021 campaign by going to their website.
