    Michelle Obama

    Former First Lady

Michelle Robinson Obama served as First Lady of the United States from 2009 to 2017.

As a transformative First Lady, Mrs. Obama launched and led four key initiatives: Let’s Move!, to address the challenge of childhood obesity; Joining Forces, to support veterans, service members and their families; Reach Higher, to inspire young people to seek higher education; and Let Girls Learn, to help adolescent girls around the world go to school.

Before becoming First Lady, Michelle Obama attended Princeton University and Harvard Law School. She started her career as an attorney at the Chicago law firm, Sidley & Austin, where she met her future husband, Barack Obama. She later worked in the Chicago mayor’s office, the University of Chicago, and the University of Chicago Medical Center. Mrs. Obama also founded the Chicago chapter of Public Allies, an organization that prepares young people for careers in public service.

Mrs. Obama was born on January 17, 1964. She married Barack Obama in 1992. They currently live in Washington, DC and have two daughters, Malia and Sasha.

    Billie Jean King

Sports Icon and Equal Rights Activist

Billie Jean King has long been a champion for social justice and equality. She has created new inroads for both genders in and out of sports during her legendary career and she continues to make her mark today.

King, who won an astounding 39 Grand Slam titles during her career, blazed trails for women everywhere in 1970 as one of nine players to break away from the tennis establishment and accept a one-dollar contract to compete in the newly created Virginia Slims Series. This led to the birth of women's pro tennis and the formation of the Women's Tennis Association.

In 1973, King produced one of the greatest moments in sports history when she defeated Bobby Riggs in the famous match dubbed “The Battle of the Sexes.”

Named one of the "100 Most Important Americans of the 20th Century" by Life and a 2009 recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, King is also the author of Pressure is a Privilege: Lessons I've Learned from Life and the Battle of the Sexes.

    Rick Stollmeyer

    CEO, MINDBODY

Rick graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a degree in Political Science and Russian Language. He served for six years as a nuclear submarine officer and contributed to a range of engineering projects, but knew he wouldn’t be truly happy until he started his own company.

Rick co-founded two businesses in 2001, one using his engineering experience and another called MINDBODY. The fact that MINDBODY's clients were wellness professionals improving the lives of millions cinched it. Rick fell in love with his clients and employees—his proudest accomplishment is creating a place and culture that enhances people's health and happiness while they reach their highest potential through meaningful work.

    Alli Webb

    Founder

    Drybar

Alli Webb founded Drybar in after spending 15 years as a professional stylist. She began her career in fashion in New York City working for designer Nicole Miller. In 1996, Alli left fashion retailing to pursue her true passion: hairstyling.

After training at the Toni & Guy Academy, Alli sharpened her skills as an assistant to celebrity stylist John Sahag, famous for his signature dry-cut technique. Having struggled with her own extremely curly hair, Alli was always in search of a great blowout but was often disappointed with the available options.

She left the professional workforce in 2005 to start a family, and decided to find a way to continue pursuing her passion at a new-mom pace. Alli began offering weekly in-home blowout services for friends. The little side business exploded strictly by referrals, which led Alli to the decision to expand her mobile operation to a physical location. The first Drybar opened in Los Angeles in 2010 and was an overnight sensation.

Drybar has since expanded to nearly 100 locations. Drybar’s growing product line is sold through its own shops, as well as in Sephora, Nordstrom, Ulta and select Bloomingdale's stores throughout the U.S.
