3 Simple Tips to Increase Revenue at Your Fitness Studio this Valentine’s Day

By Denise Prichard

When it comes to Valentine’s Day and spending money on loved ones, consumers don’t hold back. After all, we love showering our special someone with chocolates, flowers, teddy bears, cards–you name it.

So, with less than a month away, now is the time to prepare for one of the most romantic and lucrative days of the year.

Valentine’s Day is the first big sales holiday of the year for small businesses, so it's imperative you provide your clients with an experience that gives them all the feels.

If you haven’t had a chance to nail down a marketing plan for the big day, have no fear! We have some tips that can help you reap the benefits of this day of love.

Show a little extra love to your regulars at your fitness studio.

Why not reward your loyal customers this Valentine’s Day? This year, offer these friendly, familiar faces a special discount to express your gratitude for their commitment to your fitness studio.

Offer your confirmed loyal customers special discounts on a variety of your classes, services, and retail items. It could be as simple as offering them a complimentary class within the month of February or a certain percentage off your retail items for the month. Any act of gratitude will help your clients feel appreciated and keep them coming back.

Embrace your couples, but make sure you remember your singles!

The last thing you would want to do on Valentine’s Day is to exclude anyone–all clients, whether they are happily hitched or gleefully single, should be able to celebrate on this lovely holiday.

For couples: Think about creating a promotion that allows partners to experience a workout session together. In fact, there have been studies that prove that couples who sweat together are generally happier in their relationships–so what better way to celebrate your coupled-up clients than to give them the gift of a workout session together?

For singles: In recent years, the concept of Galentine’s Day and “treating yourself” on Valentine’s Day has become popular. That means you have ample opportunity to market to these customers, so why not create some promotional offers that encourage gal pals to take a fitness class together?

Spread the love with gift cards.

We say this a lot, and for good reason, but the number one way to increase revenue throughout the year is by selling gift cards–and Valentine’s Day is no exception to this rule.

Think about it. Everyone has someone special they want to do something nice for on this day. Mindbody makes it easy for you to provide gift cards as a purchasing option in-store, on your website, or on your Facebook so your clients can conveniently shower their loved ones on this special day.
