Meet the Mindbody Business App
Your checkout experience is arguably one of the most important workflows carried out throughout your day. You're with a client, they're excited about the service you just provided, they're ready to go, you're ready to make a sale. That experience needs to be seamless and work 100% of the time, in addition to doing all the things you need it to do.
That's why I’m very excited to introduce the latest version of the Mindbody business app (formerly known as Mindbody Express).
This new release gives you the ability to sell autopay contracts to your customers, and a has a completely redesigned point of sale experience. We've spent hundreds of hours listening to your feedback and discussing how to improve your checkout experience on mobile.
Here are the updates we've mad. We can’t wait for you to start using these new features.
Sell contracts and packages
Now you can sell packages and autopay contracts from your Mindbody business app. Experience a more personalized experience with your customers as you review contract agreement terms with them away from the hustle and bustle of your front desk area.
Your customers can see the contract and electronically sign the agreement right on the mobile device, freeing you from handling paperwork. Signed contract agreements can be recalled at any time from the customer’s Client Profile.
With the updated app you can prorate contracts, too. This allows you to set the start date, either to immediately or on a specific day and adjust the price so your customer can start enjoying your services right away. You can also add contract discounts, designate the auto-payment methods and customize additional contract details—all from your mobile device
A redesigned point of sale experience
The release also introduces a new point of sale workflow. While designing this new experience, we worked directly with clients like you, showing them proposed user experiences and incorporating their feedback.
In addition to updated designs, we’ve added seven new payment methods including custom payments, comp guest, paying with the customer's bank account and the cards stored in the customer’s Mindbody app. You can even choose to split payments between multiple payment methods.
During the checkout process, you can now reconcile multiple unpaid classes or appointments. You can change the price, edit quantity and change duration of the items in the cart. You can also sell your customer a contract to reconcile unpaid appointments or classes. And last but not least, your customers can choose the amount or percentage they want to tip and sign the credit card receipt electronically and chose whether or not to receive a copy of the receipt via email.
The MINDBODY business app is free for you and your staff to use and can be downloaded in the App Store or Google Play.
