The merchant account lets clients buy services with credit cards through your website (and at your point-of-sale), something they probably couldn’t do before. Everyday we speak with new clients – clients that have just left our competitors – that were paying hardware rental fees. Most pay for credit card services that are so elusive, they need an economics degree just to understand their monthly statements. To boot, our competitors’ clients must track services with one system, but charge credit cards with another. Finally, they end up paying between 2.25% and 3.25% for every MasterCard, Visa and Discover card transaction. The MINDBODY rates for swiped transactions (card present) range from as low as 1.69 % for Visa and MasterCard Check cards, to 2.29% for standard credit cards. Just that price difference alone could save you thousands of dollars per year. And if you ever find a better deal or want to leave, it’s not a problem. We’re so confident in our merchant accounts’ quality and pricing that we’ll never charge a cancelation fee or batch header fees. You’re not locked into a rental agreement. In addition to credit card processing, we also offer ACH (a.k.a EFT) functionality, which allows you to directly charge your clients’ checking accounts. Typically, ACH fees are less then credit card processing. And ACH is integrated into your system just like credit card processing. Clients can set up monthly auto pays – or buy bottles of water at the point of sale – using ACH (i.e. their checking accounts). Many of our clients actually have both: ACH and credit card processing, integrated into their MINDBODY system.
