Are you listed on MINDBODY Connect™? If not, you could be missing out on new customers like Lauren Ierullo, an avid traveler from Montreal, Canada. Laruen recently wrote a blog post about her travels to New Zealand—and how she booked classes for herself while traveling using MINDBODY Connect.
Not only is it great to stay active while travelling, it’s also fun to experience studios in other cities around the world and see how they like to sweat or stay Zen. While you’re strolling to and from your class, you may come across an interesting neighbourhood or restaurant that you’ll want to revisit during your stay. Before you embark on your fitness adventure, here are some tips to help you find what’s right for you.
1. Find Studios
Use MINDBODY Connect to find yoga/fitness studios and class schedules in the city you’re in. MINDBODY Connect is a mobile app for iPhone and Android that lets you find yoga and fitness studios, view schedules, and book classes. I like that MINDBODY Connect has reviews for classes, too. I use MINDBODY Connect in my hometown of Montreal, and also while travelling. It’s how I found and booked yoga at Urban Ashram while visiting Auckland, New Zealand.
2. Choose a Neighbourhood
Do you want to do a class near your accommodation, or are you looking to explore a new area while you’re out? This is up to you and your schedule. It might be nice to explore a new area if you’re comfortable getting to the location, whether on foot or via public transportation.
3. View Schedules and Book Your Class
Once you’ve found the right studio in the right neighbourhood, you can use MINDBODY Connect to book your class on the day and time that it’s available. Sometimes you can pay online through the app, so you don’t have to worry about anything when you get to the studio. I would only recommend doing this if you’re absolutely sure you’re going to the class. If you’re the type to make last-minute plans while away, you may want to choose the option to pay when you get there (if your studio of choice offers it). Payment in person is a good option so that you don’t get charged if you change your plans. I recommend leaving early for your class, especially if you’re going to a studio in a new area, because I’m the type that gets occasionally lost while travelling!
Now you’re set to stay fit and Zen anywhere in the world! Where have you gone to classes? Where would you love to visit? I’d love to hear your experiences!
