MINDBODY app users are highly engaged health and wellness enthusiasts—and they are looking for businesses like yours. To make sure you’re getting the most out of your MINDBODY app listing, consider implementing these optimization tips.

Get listed on the app:

  • List your business by selecting “Let people find me on the MINDBODY app.”
  • Use keywords to make it easier for consumers to find your listing.

Your business is categorized according to certain keywords entered in your site. These keywords are drawn from the service categories, class types and appointment types you have entered in the software.

Pro tip: for optimal results, we recommend including a wide range of terms when creating service names and descriptions in your site.

Make sure your business information is up-to-date:

  • Check your location address and contact number to ensure they’re listed correctly.
  • Add your business logo (if you haven’t already).
  • Write a business description so people know what you’re all about—this will appear in the app.

Describe your services:

Consumers are more likely to book a service when they understand what it entails and what to expect. Enhance your presence in the app by following these simple steps to update your class and appointment descriptions:

For classes, add descriptions when adding a new class Or, edit an existing description by doing the following:

  1. Go to the HOME tab, and select Services & Pricing.
  2. Click on the Classes link on the left.
  3. Click on the name of one of your classes. This will take you to the “Edit a Class” screen.
  4. Edit or add a description in the text box.
  5. Click Save.

For appointments, add a description when adding in new appointment types. Or, edit an existing description by doing the following:

  1. Go to the HOME tab and select Services & Pricing.
  2. Click on the Appointments link on the left.
  3. Click on the name of the Appointment and select Edit. This will take you to the “Edit Appointment Type” screen.
  4. Edit or add a description in the text box.
  5. Click Save.

Staff names, photos and bios:

It’s important to include information about your staff, especially for new customers who haven’t visited your business before.

  • Tell consumers a little about your staff by creating a Staff Bio.
  • Give them an idea of your staff’s personality by adding Staff Photos.
  • If you don’t want to use the staff member’s full/real name, consider using nicknames instead.

Pricing options:

Be sure to create pricing options that apply to your classes and appointments, and that can be purchased online. It’s also important to:

  • Make sure that the name reflects what the costumer is purchasing.
For example, if you offer two different haircuts in the same category (such as a Women’s Cut and Child’s Cut), we recommend naming your pricing options accordingly. If they’re both titled “Haircut,” the consumer will naturally opt to purchase the less expensive option, not realizing there are two different types to choose between.
  • The same goes for your service categories. It’s important to name them accordingly so anyone who simply wants to view your pricing understands what they’re looking at.
For example, if your categories are named “Classes 1” and “Classes 2” with the same class packages in each (drop in, 10 pack, unlimited, etc.), the consumer will have no way of knowing which specific classes each package applies to.

Did you know?

The MINDBODY app allows your clients to leave ratings and reviews for classes and appointments they’ve attended. When their visit ends, the app will send them a notification to share their experience. This helps new consumers see how others like your services.
