Make Booking a Breeze: How to Set Up Online Booking

Keeping your business open 24 hours a day is easy with online booking. It lets your customers take charge of their schedules and book from anywhere, at any time. Enabling online booking fills your classes and appointments, leading to more revenue for your business. It’s a win-win for everyone.

When your clients hop online, they’ll use Consumer Mode to browse your schedule and book services. If they’re out and about, they can browse and book using the MINDBODY app on their phones. All you have to do is make sure that everything is configured to allow online booking. Here’s how:

Allowing online booking for appointments

  1. First, go to your Appointment Options screen and make sure that “Allow Client Booked Appointments” is enabled.
  2. Then, you’ll need to make sure that your appointment service categories are set up to allow online scheduling. To do this, go to Services & Pricing and click the Appointments tab on the left. Then, to the right of each service category, click the gear and select Allow online scheduling.
  3. Lastly, your clients can book and pay for appointments online or through the app, as long as your pricing options are available for sale online as well. To make sure they’re available for sale online, go to Services & Pricing and click the Appointments tab on the left. Click on each appointment type and then check the box next to “Allow clients to book this appointment type online.”

Allowing online booking for classes and enrollments

  1. When you’re scheduling a new class or enrollment, select “Yes, allow clients to sign up for this class online,” and then enter an online booking capacity.
  2. Next, you’ll need to make sure that your class and enrollment service categories are set up to allow online scheduling. To do this, go to Services & Pricing and click the Classes or Enrollments tabs on the left. Then, to the right of each service category, click the gear and select Allow online scheduling.
  3. Lastly, your clients can book and pay for classes and enrollments online or through the app, as long as your pricing options are available for sale online as well. To make sure they’re available for sale online, go to Services & Pricing and click the Classes or Enrollments tab on the left. Click on each class or enrollment type and then check the box next to “Sold online.”
  4. Helpful hint: If your clients are unable to sign up for a particular class online, you can click the Edit gear to the right of the class on the schedule, and select “View client sign-up restrictions.” A pop-up will let you know of any reason why your clients may be unable to sign up for the class online.

Booking from the MINDBODY app

In just a few taps on their phones, customers can sign up for a class or book an appointment with you using the MINDBODY app. If you’re all set up for online booking, then your classes and appointments will automatically be bookable in the app too, as long as your business is set up to display.
