MINDBODY Helps Local College Boost Security

MINDBODY has become business partners with Cuesta College, a local university in San Luis Obispo, CA, as part of The Cuesta College Foundation Business Partners Program, which builds relationships between the college and the San Luis Obispo business community.

As part of this new partnership, MINDBODY has donated $50,000 worth of firewall equipment to the college. The two enterprise-grade firewalls will boost protection to Cuesta’s network, working to block security threats like viruses, spam and malicious attacks. The firewalls are also critical for maintaining data and user security.

According to Cuesta College’s Computer Services Supervisor Jay Chalfant, the donated equipment is top of the line and has five times the performance of the three year-old firewalls that they’ve replaced.

“MINDBODY is proud to become a Cuesta College business partner,” said MINDBODY’s Director of Information Technology Operations and Cuesta College alum Jeff Darnton. “Cuesta College’s educational and training programs prepare prospective employees with the hands-on technical skills that employers like MINDBODY are looking for. San Luis Obispo County continues to foster a growing number of technology-based businesses and these types of programs are beneficial to the entire community.”
