Live from MINDBODY FitPro 2013

Over one hundred fitness professionals decided to take their business on vacation and attend MINDBODY FitPro 2013 in Marina del Rey. We kicked off the conference with fitness classes on Friday morning at 7 am, including a class by Stacey Lel Krauss on the patio of the conference hotel.

Attendees of Stacey’s class connected with themselves in new ways as they reached for internal peace while barefoot on the patio. Four other classes helped kick off MINDBODY FitPro and got the attendees ready for a breakfast sponsored by Constant Contact featuring Ron Cates.

Attendees of breakfast learned digital marketing strategies including email format and timing best practices, as well as social media strategy.

After breakfast, MINDBODY FitPro’s expo was open and participants stopped by the MINDBODY social media booth to take pictures and share their MINDBODY FitPro experience, as well as learn more about specialized fitness products from vendors and sponsors.

3:00 pm Update

Our attendees continued their day by enjoying both business workshops and fitness lectures, including a business lecture by Jessica Matthews from the American Council on Exercise. Jessica taught her session about creating video-based fitness content to teach attendees how to build their own business brand.

After the first round of business workshops and fitness lectures was completed, attendees came enjoyed a lunch and time in the expo. During lunch, one of the vendors at MINDBODY FitPro, Bodyblade gave one of their products to an attendee who shared their experience on social media using #mbfp13

As we hit the midway point of the first day of MINDBODY FitPro, we still have some of our most exciting sessions to come, including a session with MINDBODY CEO Rick Stollmeyer and an exciting panel tomorrow.

Attendees also had the opportunity to work out with Abbie Appel, fitness presenter and ambassador. Abbie challenged the attendees in her class with an intense tabata workout.

As the day wore on, some attendees took advantage of the opportunity to work out on the roof of the conference hotel by taking Pilates and dance fitness classes.  After a day full of workouts and business classes, attendees, vendors, and staff joined for a cocktail mixer sponsored by Constant Contact on the roof, including an impromptu, glowing hoop party in the dark.

The first day of MINDBODY FitPro was a huge success, and with huge events and speakers lined up for day two, we wish you were here!
