For example, run a No-Return report to generate a list of clients who have not visited your business in a month. Or run the Referral report to see which clients have referred other clients, and then send them a thank you email with a special coupon just for them!

MINDBODY has partnered with Constant Contact, an award-winning email marketing company, so that you can easily synchronize your MINDBODY client list with your Constant Contact email lists and create professional looking emails quickly and easily. And, once your email is sent, Constant Contact gives you the ability to track important statistics such as who has read your email (and more importantly – who hasn’t!), and who has clicked on what links within the email.

Create a happy birthday email campaign and send to clients on a monthly basis. Create Welcome email blasts and send it out to clients who joined that week, and then send a follow-up survey a month later. Create monthly newsletters and fill them with the articles and recipes that MINDBODY provides our Constant Contact subscribers. Or, create a promotion email and send it out to all clients on a particular class roster. All this and more can be done using MINDBODY and Constant Contact.

Strategic Marketing Tips

  • Your marketing budget should be about 10% of your gross revenue. Sound like a lot? There is a natural attrition rate of about 30%, so keeping clients engaged through emails helps keep your business fresh in their mind.

  • Use your First Visit report to see who had their first visit to your business within the last week/month, and send those clients a welcome email.

  • Don’t just spend money – create a marketing plan and make sure that you stick to it. Also be sure to reevaluate it every six months to 12 months.

  • Run your Referrals report and award clients and staff for bringing in new students.

  • Offer a few introductory specials for new students and run your Best Sellers report to see which one works best.

  • When you finish a teacher training or workshop, send all clients on the roster a thank you email with tips for keeping up with what they’ve learned.

  • Create contracts and use the AutoPay feature of your MINDBODY software for a recurring revenue stream.

  • Combine reports: “Tag” clients in one report to use that same client list in another report.
