Things to Know

  • We offer a variety of key tags and all are the same pricing structure.
  • All orders must be an absolute minimum of 500 pieces per product and individual design.
  • All orders (excluding exact re-orders) will be charged a non-refundable set-up fee of $100 to have your design proofed.
  • For new orders, from quote to shipping, the process is approximately 4 weeks.
  • Re-orders with no changes to text or artwork to go straight to production and take 7 to 10 business days to ship.
  • Once the order is received, you have 3 business days to submit any claims.
  • Ground shipping via FedEx is standard within the continental US. FedEx International Priority is standard outside of the US. Additional shipping options available upon request.
  • You will need a barcode scanner to read the barcode, but you can also type in the number underneath it by hand.
  • Cards are durable, waterproof, laminated polyester core that will not crack or peel and is standard 30 mil thickness. PVC available and quoted on request.

  • Color on back of card (other than black): $0.08
  • Rush shipping: 2 day or overnight is available. Quote provided upon request

FAQs

How does ordering from ID Solutions work, exactly?

Great question! We want you to understand the process completely, and always know where we are along the way. So that's why we created this handy ID Solutions Ordering Process Flowchart.

Can I get less than your minimum order of 500?

No. Our absolute minimum is 500. Call us though! We may have a special running with a smaller amount available.

Can I order 250 gift cards and 250 key tags to make up an order of 500?

No. Each item ordered is considered a unique order, each of which needs to be an order for 500 pieces.

If I can't do your minimum order, are there other options?

If I order a combo pack, then later only want to re-order only one of the items in that combo pack, is that possible? Do I get charged a set-up fee?

Yes and yes. All orders that are not re-ordered exactly as last time (excluding quantity), even though the same artwork may be used, are considered new.

If I don't have a designer, can MINDBODY do my design?

No, we do not do design. We will need to have the files as you would like to see them printed in order to send them over to production.

How long does it take to get gift cards or key tags?

Because these items are custom and do not come off a shelf, the process takes about 4 weeks for a first time order. A re-order, once the order is approved, goes straight to production which takes 7 - 10 days to print, and then ships. How long do re-orders take?

Once we receive the approved re-order form, we send the order off to production to go to shipping. The order then takes 7 - 10 days to print, at which time it ships.

Can I rush my order?

When production isn't booked up, a rush is available at a 50% up-charge. This takes the order production time from 7 - 10 business days to 3 - 5 business days. Remember that there is additional time for the proof process as well and this process cannot be rushed or bypassed. If you need to rush your order, be sure that this option is currently available. If I don't want to pay to rush my order in production, can I get rush shipping?

Yes. We can ship the order 2-day or overnight at your request.

Can I give you an address to leave the package without a signature?

No. As the items you are ordering are custom we do not have an option to leave them without a signature. They are not replaceable if stolen. Therefore we suggest that the shipping address you give us is one where someone will be available during the day to sign for the package.

Do the gift cards come standard with a magnetic strip?

No. The gift cards and key tags come standard with a barcode. The magnetic strip is available for an additional fee of $0.35 per card.

Can I get a magnetic strip on my key tags?

No, the key tags do not have the option of a magnetic strip. They do come with a standard barcode.

Are there fees associated with the gift cards each time they get used?

No. Only your normal merchant account rates would apply if the customer purchases a gift card and pays for it with their credit card. But we DO NOT charge any fees for the gift cards to be used with the MINDBODY system.

Is there really room on the back of the cards and key tags for more than the barcode?

Yes. There is room for up to 4 lines of text on the back of the key tags and up to 7 - 10 lines of text on the back of the cards. But of course you can leave them "blank" if you'd like. These will still come with a barcode on the back so you can utilize them with the MINDBODY system. What are some examples of text that I can put on the back of my cards or keytags?

Whether you put your business's contact information, policy, legalese, or a haiku, cards will fit up to 10 lines of text and key tags will fit up to 4 lines of text on the back. Here are some examples of text for the back of your cards or key tags..

What equipment do I need to use gift cards and key tags?

You don't need any additional equipment other than your MINDBODY software; however, we suggest either a barcode scanner or credit card swiper. The cards come standard with a barcode, so a scanner will be needed to utilize key tags and cards fully. If you are ordering the optional magnetic strip, a credit card swiper will be needed. Both of these will need to be hooked up to your computer and you will need to be logged into your MINDBODY site. If you don't use either of these, you may key in the corresponding number by hand. What is the type of barcode you use?

Our cards and key tags are printed with Barcode 39.

What is the type of magnetic strip you use?

Our magnetic strips are HiCo Track 2.

How do I use your gift cards and key tags with the MINDBODY system?

Can I use my MINDBODY Bucks towards my order?

We can accept the following high resolution (min 300 dpi) file formats from both PC and Mac:

  • Adobe Illustrator up to version CS2 (.AI, .EPS)
  • Adobe Photoshop up to version CS2 (.PSD)
  • Adobe Acrobat PDF (.PDF)

We DO NOT accept low resolution files: .BMP, .GIF, .TIF & .JPG

Arranging your artwork
Bleed -- If you want your image to have a full bleed and print flush with the edge of the card or key tag, then a bleed of at least 1/8" should be used.
Margins -- Keep a minimum of 1/8" margin from the edge for any text or images that you do not want to be cut during production. This applies to key holes also.

Incorporating fonts and graphics
Fonts -- Please provide the names of all printer and screen fonts used to create your artwork. If you're absolutely sure that we will not need to make any changes to it, then you may convert all type to curves/outlines.
Colors -- Orders are printed in a four color process, cyan, magenta, yellow, and key black (CMYK). If they are available, then please provide us with Pantone Matching System colors (PMS). The heat lamination process used to produce the cards can sometimes result in subtle variations in color shading between the proof we've provided and the actual delivered card. This variation can also apply to future printing orders as they may differ in shade from the original.

Emailed proofs

Colors viewed on a computer monitor are not an exact match of the printed product. Please allow for slight variations in the finished product.

Production

Proofs are provided 2-3 business days after your approved order and finalized artwork are sent to production. We then email you a digital proof for your review. Once we've received emailed approval for your proof the order is sent to production for printing. This takes 7 - 10 business days, at which time the order ships to you.

Over and under runs

10% over or under runs of custom printed orders are standard policy and invoices will reflect the amount shipped.
