Roxanne Banta

Roxanne grew up in a small suburb of Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Michigan State University, in May 2000 with a BA in Mathematics. Before coming to MINDBODY Online she worked 3 1/2 years as a computer programmer for Auto-Owners Insurance Company in Lansing, MI. In 2004 she moved here to San Luis Obispo, CA to pursue a MS in Mathematics at Cal Poly, for a change of scenery and a change of pace.
Roxanne’s hobbies include yoga, reading, music, spending time w/ friends & family, and teaching mathematics. She says she enjoys working at MINDBODY because it is combines the best of her worlds, “providing the yoga/wellness industry I love with efficient technology allowing them to focus on providing me and their clientele with a way of life that is an integral part of living in todays world.”
Peter Hewitt
Dean of Staff Training
Peter earned a BA in economics and an MBA in finance from the University of Rochester, in Rochester New York. His early career saw stints with several large companies including Xerox, Kodak, and Bausch & Lomb. He found an opportunity to combine his love of teaching with computers, and joined a start-up company that focused on computer training. Teaching flowed naturally into instructional design, and enabled him to indulge his passion for learning how to make the computer do more work for him.
Peter found MINDBODY in February 2006, while he was running his own computer consulting business, and joined the technical support staff. A few twists and turns later, he now works closely with the developers to test new features and continually refine and improve the software. He stays in close contact with all the staff to learn about what MINDBODY’s clients are doing.
Loving life on the central coast, Peter lives on his hobby farm with his wife and their menagerie of animals. He got dragged to a yoga class, and discovered that he really likes it! To round things out, he teaches guitar, plays music, rides his bike, does yoga, Tai Chi, and Gyrotonics, enjoys good wine, and good friends.

A native Spanish speaker, Andres is charged with growing our sales effort globally. Prior to college, Andres worked as a Diving Instructor in the Cruise Ship industry and lived on a remote tropical island. He now lives with his wife Francine and new son Jalen in Ottawa, Canada. He still enjoys the water - diving, surfing, snowboarding, wakeboarding - and spending time with his family.Robert Murphy
CSMO & CFO
Bob is our “man from the other side”, having used MINDBODY Yoga as an studio owner for five years. He has watched and contributed to our program from its infancy to the current ASP version. Bob brings with him successful entrepreneurial skills, having created a real estate company, and an online commercial real estate database company that became the second largest online data provider, and subsequently sold during the dot com era.
Bob joined MINDBODY, Inc. in 2005 as our Executive Vice President in charge of marketing and sales. He moved over from Yoga Works, where he was Director of New York Operations.
Before Yoga Works he owned and operated Be Yoga for four years with his wife, Beverley Murphy, and Alan Finger. He helped grow the business three fold, helping create one of the largest studios and teacher trainings in the country. Bob holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Boston University.
He enjoys his yoga practice (especially Beverley’s classes), golf games, and spending time with his three children.
Ryan Stollmeyer
Technical Support Supervisor / Strategic Account Manager
After graduating, in May 2006, from Washington State University, with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Management Information Systems, Ryan joined the MINDBODY team in SLO. He moved to California after graduation, and along with the beach, being back in California around his family is one of largest benefits to "after-college" life. Ryan still considers his roots to be in Washington, as it was his stomping grounds throughout most of his growing up. Whenever he gets the chance, he still finds time to go back and visit. Ryan is a very active person who likes to play many sports, exercise frequently, hang out with friends, water & snow ski and "try" to play the guitar. Camping is one of Ryan's favorite past-times, hence his admiration of the outdoors.
Kalena Jackson
Client Training Coordinator
Kalena is originally from the Bay Area of California, but fell in love with San Luis Obispo while in college. She began working with MINDBODY as a Sales Associate while attending Cal Poly, and after graduation, she decided to stay on and eventually worked into a full time Tech position. When she’s not working, you can find Kalena at one of two places: the dog park or the beach. She’s got an Australian Shephard/Dalmatian mix which she spoils to no end. If she could have one super human power, it would be to freeze time. This way, she could do all of the not-so-fun things while time is frozen, then get right back to enjoying the beautiful San Luis weather when it’s not.
Beverley Murphy
MINDBODY University Consultant
Beverley Murphy has been practicing yoga for over 15 years, and began her teaching career eleven years ago at Yoga Zone in New York City. During her tenure at Yoga Zone, Beverley was a featured senior teacher on the popular Yoga Zone TV show and line of videos. In 2001, together with Yoga Zone founder Alan Finger and husband Bob Murphy, Beverley purchased a chain of three Yoga Zone studios in New York City and Westchester County. The partners rebranded the studios as Be Yoga, adding a fourth location on New York's Upper East Side in 2002. That same year, Be Yoga became one of the first studio chains in New York to implement MINDBODY Online, and was the very first in that city to leverage both multi-location data sharing and online scheduling/e-commerce. This bold move proved instrumental to Be Yoga's rapid growth and prosperity in the years to come.
Leveraging her background in media and advertising as a former media planner at Young & Rubicam, and learning through experience, Beverley and her partners grew Be Yoga three-fold in four years. By 2004, Be Yoga had become one of the largest yoga schools in New York City, despite the after effects of 9/11 and one of the worst recessions in New York City history. Under Beverley’s direction, the Be Yoga Teacher Training program grew to be one of the largest and most successful in the country. With a Master’s degree in Health Sciences from Johns Hopkins University and four years of doctoral-level work in preventive and complementary medicine at Columbia University, Beverley brought a Western academic approach that made Be Yoga Teacher Training both systematic and reproducible.
After selling Be Yoga to the national yoga company Yoga Works, Beverley stayed on for another year as Yoga Works Head of NY Teacher Training and Teacher Management. In 2005, Beverley left Yoga Works to follow her entrepreneurial heart with her own consulting and yoga retreat business.
Wanting to bring her teacher training concept and experience to MINDBODY, Beverley launched the first MINDBODY University initiative in Spring 2005. The inaugural MBU events, held in October and November 2006 were such a huge success, that Beverley agreed to join MINDBODY full time as Director of MINDBODY University shortly thereafter.
