Self Sign-In
If your business uses Arrival Programs, or you are short on front desk staff to manage sign in for classes and appointments, then your clients can conveniently check themselves in using the Self Sign-In Screen. This feature is used most effectively by positioning the hardware at your physical place of business so that clients can easily swipe their Client ID Card or enter their ID number into the Self Sign-In Screen. When clients sign themselves in using the Self Sign-In Screen, the system will display the resource (i.e., usually a room) associated with their class, appointment, or workshop. That way, they know where to go without anyone at your business needing to guide them. Once clients sign in through the Self Sign-In Screen, visits are removed from the series on their accounts. If you use Arrival Programs, then arrivals are recorded and a record is saved on the client's Visits => Logins Screen.
Things to know:
- You can restrict Self Sign-In to members only from the Membership Options Screen.
- When a client with unpaid visits logs in using the Self Sign-In Screen, the system tells the client how many unpaid visits they have. This should encourage clients to reconcile their unpaids. Click on 'Features on the Self Sign-In Screen' below to learn how to allow or disallow clients with unpaid visits from signing in using Self Sign-In.
- When a client with a suspended account logs in using the Self Sign-In Screen, a message stating "Account Suspended: Please ask for assistance," will display. He or she will not be able to sign in until the issue with their account is resolved.

- Look Ahead Window - If a client is pre-registered for a class, and that client uses your Self Sign-In Screen to scan himself or herself in, the system will look ahead a few hours (determined by this feature) to automatically sign in the client. For example, if Jane Doe signed up for an aerobics class online and she then comes into your studio one hour before the class starts, when she signs in using the Self Sign-In Screen, the system automatically registers her into the aerobics class she signed up for earlier.
- You can set the number of hours that the window will search ahead for classes, from the time of sign in, by selecting a number (23, or less) from the dropdown list for the Sign In/Self Sign-In - Look Ahead Window Feature under the Reservation System Policies Section of the Class & Event Options Screen.
- Allow Signing in without Pre-Registration - If your clients sign themselves into a class using the Self Sign-In Screen, they can attend a class even though they didn't sign-up for it in advance.
- You can enable/disable this feature on the Class & Event Options Screen.
- Allow Signing in Unpaid - This feature allows clients to use the Self Sign-In Screen and take classes without pre-paying.
- You can enable/disable this feature on the Class & Event Options Screen.
- Automatically Sign Clients in - When this option is enabled, if only 1 class is available in the Self Sign In look ahead window, a client is signed into that class if they have no other reservations for that day
- You can enable/disable this feature on the Class & Event Options Screen.
