Promotional coupons are making a comeback, especially in the form of website ads and email campaigns. These two electronic advertisements are the offspring of the old, paper coupons. Their popularity is rooted in their ability to run promotions without incurring printing or mailing costs.
Promotions are set up inside your MINDBODY system. You then use an advertising medium (e.g. email, magazine ad, internet ad) to distribute the code that you created with this new promotions feature. And when a client enters your business to redeem the promotion, you can enter that promotion code at the retail point of sale. If enabled, you can even have clients enter promotion codes from your Online Store. The Promotions feature comes with the usual range of functionality that all of our biggest features contain: staff permission, a report, a new menu, and a boatload of options to make the promotional code work just the way that you want. Promotions can have activation dates and expiration dates. They can be a flat or a percentage discount. They can be applied to everything you sell or just specific categories and programs of your choice. And, the discount incurred by the promotion is clearly shown on your printed receipts and your Retail screen. The regular sales reports also calculate and display how promotions affect your sales.
