Costume Tracking
You can specify products as costumes that can be sold or rented to clients checking out of classes or workshops. Your clients' sizes (bust, waist, hip, girth, height, inseam, head, shoe size, and tights) are stored in their Profile Screens. If you want, you can make them all required fields. When a client enrolls into a class or workshop with a costume assigned, you can use the new Costumes Link to display all of the sizes associated with clients signed up for the workshop or class. (Print this list as a handy paper printout to use while you're plucking costumes off the racks).
When you check the client out of the service, the sizes will be displayed again on the Retail Screen. Costume Tracking also features a way to erase all of the measurements belonging to tagged clients. That way, if you typically re-measure your costumed clients at the beginning of the year, you have a fast way to start fresh with new measurements.
If you want to use this feature, but not for managing costumes, then you're still in luck. Every word related to this feature can be changed with a hot word. If you want to rent and manage some other equipment or product that requires detailed client values, just change the words.
- Follow this menu path: Toolbox => Setup => Options => General Setup & Options => Client Management Section => Enable: Use Costume Management
- Click the Update Button
- Refresh your browser window
- Look up the product (Toolbox => Products => Manage Products)
- Check the new Costume? Checkbox
- Click the Update Product Button
- Repeat for all variants (sizes, colors) of the product that you need
- Schedule a new class or workshop, and the last step will ask if you want to assign a costume to it
- Click on the name of a scheduled class or workshop, and use the Add Costume dropdown box at the bottom
- Lookup the client
- Go to his or her Profile Screen
- Enter the client's measurements
- Click on the Save Client Information Button
- Follow this menu path: Clients => Required Fields
- Tick the checkboxes in the Business Mode Column beside sizes that you want to make required fields
- Click the Update Button
- Enable the Missing Required Fields Client Alert (Clients => Client Alerts)
- Go to the roster for a workshop or the Class Sign-In Screen for a class
- Click on the new Costumes Link above the list of signed-up clients
- Print the list of clients with their measurements
- Check a client out of a class
- On the Retail Screen, click on the new Costumes Link in the Add Item Window
- The size fields will automatically be populated by what's entered in the client's Profile Screen
- Click the Add Item Buttons
- Add costumes to the Ticket Window
- Chose the services for the client to purchase
- Complete the sale
- Tag the clients whose measurements you want to clear using the Lookup Client Screen, a report, Class Sign-In Screen, etc....
- Follow this menu path: Reports => Clients & Accounts => Modify Tagged Clients
- Check the new radio button titled Clear Client Measurements
- Click the Update Tagged Clients Button
- Follow this menu path: Toolbox => Setup => Options => Language Settings
