Constant Contact Integration

By default, this feature is turned off in the MINDBODY System. To turn it on: 

1. Log in as the owner
2. Follow this menu path: Toolbox => Setup => Options => General Setup & Options => Client Management Section
3. Enable Constant Contact Integration
4. Log out of your MINDBODY site
5. Press F5 on your keyboard to refresh your web browser
6. Log back into your MINDBODY site as the owner

1. Follow this new menu path: Toolbox => Setup => Options => Constant Contact Integration
2. Enter your Constant Contact login information

Mapping is the most crucial part of the integration... and how it all works. You map a MINDBODY Client Index Value to a Constant Contact List. Once the mapping is created, then all clients' email addresses related to the client index value will be synced to the Constant Contact List. If clients are opted out, they will not be synced

Use your client indexes to map your contacts to your mailing lists. Each one of your clients can be assigned different client indexes (for example, "Male," "Female," "Pregnant," "Student," and "First-Time Visitor") However, you must go through each client and make sure the index is correct. To map MINDBODY Client Index Values to Constant Contact Mailing Lists: 

1. Follow this menu path: Toolbox => Settings => Options => Constant Contact Integration
2. In the Client Index Mappings section, choose a client index that you want exported to Constant Contact
3. Select the client index value that you want exported to Constant Contact
4. Select the Constant Contact Mailing List that you want the MINDBODY Index Value map to
5. Click the Add Mapping Button

 

You can click the Remove Mapping link to remove the mapping. This will not affect contact information in either MINDBODY or Constant Contact.

If you don't use client indexes, you don't need them for mapping. You can still map your location(s) to Constant Contact Mailing Lists. For example, if you have a Constant Contact Mailing List called "Downtown Studio" then you can map all of your clients assigned to a similar-titled location in MINDBODY to that mail list.

 

To map MINDBODY Location to Constant Contact Mailing Lists: 

1. Follow this menu path: Toolbox => Settings => Options => Constant Contact Integration
2. In the Location Mappings section, choose a location that you want all of its clients exported to Constant Contact
3. Select the Constant Contact Mailing List that you want the MINDBODY location to export to
4. Click the Add Mapping Button

 

You can click the Remove Mapping link to remove the mapping. This will not affect contact information in either MINDBODY or Constant Contact.

 

Adjusting location and client index mailing lists.

• Adding Lists - You don't need to use Constant Contact to create new Constant Contact Mailing Lists. If you create a new contact list in MINDBODY, it will immediately be added as a list inside of Constant Contact. MINDBODY will not add any contacts to this list until it has been mapped (lower down on the screen).
• Deleting Lists - If you delete lists inside of MINDBODY, then the entire lists and its email addresses will be deleted from Constant Contact. Your clients' email addresses and accounts inside of MINDBODY will not be affected.
• Clearing Lists - If you click the clear lists link, it will preserve the list name inside of Constant Contact, but remove all of the clients' email addresses from Constant Contact. Your clients' email addresses and accounts inside of MINDBODY will not be affected. This function is used when you want to keep the name of a Constant Contact List, but wipe off all of its email addresses.

• When you assign a mapped index or location to a client, that client will be automatically added to the Constant Contact.
• MINDBODY will only add a client to a mailing list if he or she has a valid email address and has Email Opt-In? checked on his or her Profile Screen
• When you uncheck the Opt-In Box on a client's Profile Screen, the client is instantly removed from all Constant Contact Lists
  • If you option them in later, they will be automatically synced with all Constant Contact Lists associated with their Client Indexes
• MINDBODY will update Constant Contact automatically when a client's email address is changed in MINDBODY
• MINDBODY will add new client's email information into the appropriate Constant Contact mailing list if the new client meets the criteria setup in the integration setup screen (i.e. the new client has a client index that is linked to a Constant Contact list)

 

It doesn't matter if the person is a prospect, client, or company; any contact will be synced with Constant Contact if:

1. They are active
2. They have an email address saved
3. They are opted in
