Charitable Contributions

The Charitable Contributions Feature allows clients to donate directly to a charity organization through your Online Store.

How does this work?

After you enable this feature, clients will be given the options to donate $0, $1, $5, or $10 from inside their shopping carts as they're checking out from your Online Store. Currently, clients may choose to donate to the Youth AIDS or the Trees for the Future organizations.

Once the money is deducted from your clients' credit cards, it will be instantly transferred to the Youth AIDS or Trees for the Future organizations using merchant accounts set up specifically for both charities by MINDBODY.

More charities will be added in the future. The system also forces clients to make the donations using a credit card as the payment method, restricting them from making charitable contributions using your business's credit line (i.e., account credit).

To enable this feature:

1. Follow this menu path: Toolbox => Setup => Options => General Setup & Options
2. Select "Youth AIDS" or "Trees for the Future" in the new Selected Charity Dropdown Box
3. Click the Update Button

To see this feature:

1. Log out of your site
2. Click on the Online Store Tab
3. Add an item to the shopping cart
4. Observe the new Charitable Contribution Feature
