Disambiguations: Add Ons, Addons
Clients will often request more services during their appointment or even as they're checking out. Without Add-Ons, you need to either quickly schedule more services or treat services as products in order to quickly charge your clients. That's why we crated add-ons. They're an easy way to add services onto an already-scheduled appointment. Any appointment-related service (i.e., appointment type) can be marked as an add-on. And once you've designated certain services as add-ons, they appear inside the appointment details screen for all booked appointments. For example, if you scheduled a client for a face massage. And at the end, the client asks for a quick eyebrow wax. Without add-ons, you would need to schedule the eyebrow wax separately so that your therapist was paid appropriately and the system would track all of the relevant information.
But, using the example above, if you have enabled the Eyebrow Wax Appointment Type as an add-on, you simply open the appointment for the face massage and change the new Add-On dropdown box to "Eyebrow wax." Instantly, the client's Appointment reflects the new add-on. The client will be charged for both services, payroll will reflect both services provided by the therapist, and the Retail screen behaves as if you checked the client out for two appointments at once.
