How do make-up visits work?

Your workshops have a feature called Make-Ups. If you enable make-ups, then your sign in screens for workshops will display a new Make-Up Column on the far right. The idea is, if a client misses a workshop that they originally signed up for, then you can check the make-up box for the day that they missed. The system will mark them as absent, but not deduct a visit from the series that was originally used to sign the client into the workshop. This is different than early canceling a client, because an early cancel will completely remove the client from the Sign-In Screen; whereas a make-up leaves his or her name on the Sign-In Screen.

 

After ticking the Make-Up checkbox, you can enroll the client into a future workshop event Sign-In Screen. For this future visit that the client actually shows up for, the system will remove a visit from the client's series that 1) matches the program of the workshop and 2) is within the same start and end date range of the missed visit.

 

To enable make-ups:

  1. Follow this menu path: Toolbox => Setup => Options => Class & Event Options
  2. Enable "Track Make-ups"
  3. Click Update

 

To limit the amount of make-ups one client can have for a single workshop:

  1. Follow this menu path: Toolbox => Setup => Options => Class & Event Options
  2. Adjust the "Max Number of Make-ups Per Event" dropdown box
  3. Click Update
